Dad With 30 Kids Can’t Afford Child Support

A man who is Dad to 30 kids has said he can no longer afford to pay child support.

33-year-old Desmond Hatchett has fathered his 30 children with 11 different women, meaning his child support payments to the various mothers have inevitably gone through the roof. Hatchett, from Knoxville, Tennessee, has now pleaded with the state for assistance with his hefty bill.

Hatchett, who made national news in 2009 when he had fathered a mere 21 children, told Fox News: “I had four kids in the same year. Twice.” The man and his oats certainly gets about, eh?

Yet it seems Hatchett’s wallet is no longer able to keep up with his penis. He has told authorities that he is currently earning minimum wage. As half of his paycheck is already held back to divide among the 11 mothers of his kids, Hatchett has petitioned the state to help him meet his obligations.

The mothers of Hatchett’s children are supposed to get between $25 a month and $309 a month – the mother’s financial situation is taken into account – to help them raise their children, who range in age from toddlers to 14 years old.

Whether Hatchett’s pleas prove successful is yet to be seen, though as the welfare of children is involved, a solution is plainly required. How do you think the state (and Hatchett) should fix this? Let us know in the comments!
