Mark Landon, Michael Landon’s Oldest Son Dies at age 60


Mark Landon, Michael Landon’s oldest son was found dead atabout noon inside his West Hollywood home on Sweetzer Avenue Monday. Police say the cause of death was not immediately clear, but there is no sign of foul play and an investigation is ongoing.

Mark Landon was the oldest of nine children and was adopted by Michael Landon after the actor married his mother, Dodie Levy-Fraser, in 1956. Mark Fraser Landon was born October 1, 1948. He was 60 years old when he died.

Mark appeared in three movies, including “Us” a CBS TV movie written and directed by his father in 1991 just before he died of cancer at the age 54. The film was a pilot intended to be another series for Michael Landon. It aired a few months after his death.

Michael Landon starred in several movies and TV shows, including such classics as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie and Touched by an Angel.

    Trying to find a photo of Mark Landon on the web, but there aren't any. Sad. I knew Michael Landon and Lynn his wife. I used to be Lynn's make-up artist and beauty consultant and have been to Michael's house in Beverly Hills. They were some of the nicest people I ever met in my entire life. They were humble and just fun to be with. They don't make them like this anymore. Nothing lasts forever…

    Micheal Landon did not direct or star in Touched by a angel. He directed and starred in Highway to Heaven which aired form 1984-1989 Touched by an angel was from the 1990's
