Engagement Off Again: Ben Foster And Robin Wright Call Off Engagement For The Second Time

It’s an on-again, off-again relationship for Ben Foster and Robin Wright. According to news outlets, the couple has called off their engagement yet again. A source confirmed the news to Us Weekly and said that the two have managed to keep their split under wraps.

“They gave it another go, but were still having the same issues.”

The first engagement news came in January 2014. By November that same year, however, the two split up and ended their engagement. Back then, an insider revealed that the decision was because of Ben Foster’s immaturity.

“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision. Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”

Back in March of this year, they seemed to be back on again, as the Inquisitr reported. Wright even talked about her relationship with Foster, wherein she called him her inspiration.

“He inspired me to be the best of myself. There’s so much to learn. It’s endless. How great! It took me a long time to grow up. Love is possible as life is possible.”

Now, it seems that the romance has fizzled as reports indicate that they called off their engagement a few months ago.

Ben Foster, 34, and Robin Wright, 49, met on the set of Rampart. They were spotted being lovey dovey with each other a year later. The first proposal came as a shock to Wright, as she told the Daily Telegraph. But she also said, “We felt married anyway. We’ve been together ever since the first date.”

The marriage would have been the first one for Ben Foster and the third for Robin Wright. Wright was first married to Dane Witherspoon. After they split, she married Sean Penn, which she was together with for 20 years. They also share two children together — Hopper Penn, 22, and Dylan Penn, 24.

Ben Foster and Robin Wright joins the growing list of celebrity breakups this year. The latest big celebrity breakup was Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. Former One Direction member Zayn Malik also called off his engagement from Perrie Edwards of Little Mix. The Voice coach Gwen Steffani filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Another The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, filed for divorce from country singer and his wife of four years, Miranda Lambert. But perhaps the most surprising of all, and the one that no one expected, was the breakup of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
