Kashif Parvaiz Learns His Fate: NYC Man Staged Wife’s Murder To Look Like Anti-Muslim Hate Crime

Kashif Parvaiz, a 29-year-old Brooklyn, New York, man was blasted by a judge Thursday as “cold blooded” and “beyond redemption,” and the description seems fitting in light of the horrific crime of which he was convicted in February. This week, Parvaiz learned how he’ll be spending the rest of his life — in prison, with no chance of parole.

On August 16, 2011, the New York City-born Parvaiz was out for a stroll in Boonton, New Jersey, with his wife and mom of their two children, Nazish Noorani, an immigrant from Pakistan. They pushed their two-year-old son along in a stroller.

But seemingly out of the blue, someone approached and opened fire, shooting Nazush and killing her. Parvaiz was also shot, but wounded only lightly. The two-year-old was not injured, but was forced to watch as his mother was gunned down before his eyes.

In the hours following the deadly attack, Parvaiz told police a story of a gang of men — some black, some white — who shouted anti-Muslim slurs at them, calling the whole family “terrorists,” before shooting them.

But when the cops found the gun used in the shooting inside Parvaiz’s own SUV, it quickly became clear that the only terrorist was the supposedly grieving husband himself.

As the facts came together, it also became clear that the killing of Nazish Noorani had nothing to do with religion and everything to do with a very old story — a love triangle. Parvaiz arranged for his wife to be killed so he could be with his mistress, a woman from Billerica, Massachusetts, named Antoinette Stephen.

In fact, as police soon discovered — because she confessed — it was Stephen herself who pulled the trigger.

In the days before the shooting, investigators found, the illicit couple exchanged a series of text messages in which they plotted the heartless murder in great detail. In one text, four days before their psychopathic plot came to fruition, Stephen sent a text to Parvaiz, telling him, “You hang in there. Freedom is just around ur corner.”

As if the murder wasn’t bad enough, investigators also found that even as he plotted his wife’s killing with one mistress, Parvaiz was wooing a second extramarital girlfriend — a woman who had no clue about Parvaiz’s true nature and actually thought that she and Parvaiz were engaged to be married.

Kashif Parvaiz was convicted in February of first-degree murder and several other charges related to the murder of his wife. He was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole.
