Charlie Sheen’s Character Will Return To ‘Two And A Half Men,’ But Sheen Will Not

Charlie Harper will soon be returning to “Two And A Half Men,” but Charlie Sheen will not. The CBS show announced today that a future episode will feature the ghost of Charlie Harper, but instead of Sheen reclaiming the role, the honor will go to Kathy Bates.

Yes, Charlie Harper’s ghost is returning to “Two And A Half Men” as Kathy Bates.

Sheen and producer Chuck Lorre had a big public falling out last year which led to Harper’s demise on the show and Sheen being replaced by Ashton Kutcher. The show has had a few jokes surrounding Sheen’s character but this will be the first time that Harper is actually resurrected for the show.

It isn’t exactly clear how “Two And A Half Men” will explain why Charlie Harper looks like Kathy Bates in the new episode but it will probably give Sheen some more proof that the CBS show has lazy writing.

Sheen said:

“Perhaps if Warner Bros. spent as much time and energy focusing on their show, it wouldn’t be such a steaming pile of [expletive]. I’m tired of pretending (“Men”) doesn’t suck. I’m tired of pretending (Sheen’s replacement on the show) Ashton (Kutcher) doesn’t suck. I’m tired of pretending that they’re not completely adrift.”

The Washington Post reports that the episode, which will air on April 30th, will involve Alan having a heart attack. Alan is visited by Charlie Harper’s ghost while in the hospital.
