Porsha Williams Was Bullied: ‘Other Black Girls Would Tease Me’

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams may be finding her voice this season of the show, but it wasn’t always easy for her to be a strong woman. A few years ago, when Williams was married to Kordell Stewart, she wasn’t as strong as she is now. Many of the wives saw her as a servant in her own marriage, who was to stay home, keep the house in order, and raise the children. But Porsha wanted more.

Even though Porsha Williams may share her thoughts and throw some shade at the other ladies, her outgoing personality wasn’t always like that. This week, Williams decided to speak out about a time in her life that was not very good. In fact, Porsha is now revealing that she was bullied completely as a child.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is now revealing that people would pull her hair simply because she had long hair. Sadly enough, these were people who she was going to school with.

“My outside beauty wasn’t always so pretty, though,” Porsha Williams said of her life, adding, “I went to school in DeKalb County, (Chapel Hill Elementary and Junior High) [and] was bullied all through elementary and junior high for being super skinny with big teeth, and, believe it or not, other black girls would tease me and pull my hair because it was long.”

Porsha Williams hasn’t really opened up about her past before, as she has only been on the show for a few years. But Williams has proudly explained that her grandfather is a famous man in Atlanta, so one could imagine that she had a great life growing up.

“I grew up living a good life. I was raised by my mom and spent weekends with my dad because they were separated. My mom has always been my biggest inspiration. She taught me that beauty comes from the inside out; but I also know that the outside does matter,” Porsha Williams explained about how she dealt with the pain.

It sounds like Williams just wants to have fun on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. This week, she told her fans that she was pregnant and engaged, but many people believed that it was an April Fool’s joke. But Porsha never came back on social media to set the record straight. Maybe she has been too busy working. According to the Inquisitr, Williams has been busy launching her new lingerie line.
