‘Sexiest Bulgarian Alive’ Ralitsa Ivanova Gets Busted For DUI

Ralitsa Ivanova, a model who has been dubbed the “sexiest Bulgarian alive” by Esquire, was arrested on Wednesday for driving while intoxicated, according to the New York Daily News.

Ivanova was spotted by police around 3:45 a.m. as she drove her BMW the wrong way down U.S. 41 — a very busy highway in Land O’Lakes, Florida.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said the model reeked of booze, with one officer stating that he “smelled a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, along with glassy, watery and bloodshot eyes,” as reported by the Canadian Journal.

Police continued to say that as they chatted with her, it was evident that she didn’t have a clue where she was or where she was going. Ivanova stammered while talking to police, explaining she was trying to get to Tampa from St. Petersburg, but she was driving in the opposite direction.

What makes this story even scarier is that Ivanova told the police she kept getting lost because she was texting while she was driving. Texting while drunk behind the wheel going the wrong way down a busy highway equals disaster. Luckily, police arrested her before anyone was killed.

When the police officers asked Ivanova to take a breathalyzer, she refused. Instead, she explained to them that she is a model and then held up her cell phone and showed the police a text from her buddy, who advised her to not take the test.

The 29-year-old model, who moved to the United States 10 years ago and currently lives in Florida, finally agreed to take the test as she stumbled out of her car. She failed the test, and as she continued to try to stand, police arrested her and took her jail.

Ivanova was charged with a DUI and then released from custody around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, as reported by the Canadian Journal.

Ivanova says she owes her exotic looks to her Bulgarian, Russian, and Italian ancestry.
