Sports Illustrated Cover Featuring Hannah Davis Sparks Controversy

Derek Jetter’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Hannah Davis, has been selected to be on the cover of the latest edition of Sports Illustrated‘s coveted swimsuit issue and some people are claiming the photo is inappropriate.

The photo depicts Davis posting in a swimsuit at a farm located in Tennessee state.

When SI made the announcement, even Davis was surprised as she revealed that she had told her mom that there was “no way” she’d get the cover because they “do beaches” for covers, not farms.

“I told my mom there was no way I’d get the cover […] I told her, ‘They do beaches for covers and I’m on a farm. There’s no way. It’s not possible.'”

The cover was revealed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Inquisitr previously reported that the 24-year-old, who will be featured in the upcoming 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, got her start as a full-time model with IMG Models.

The new cover shows Hannah in what the Inquisitr called a “revealing crochet bikini.”

In another report on Inquisitr regarding the latest swimsuit issue’s cover, we quoted a tweet from People magazine senior writer Lynette, in which the writer People writer said that we’re getting close to the point when we will “all be desensitized” by the time SI debuts a swimsuit issue with a “bottomless” model.

Seventy-eight percent of Us Weekly readers that participated in a poll believe that the new cover is “too sexy.

What do you think, is the latest swimsuit issue, which hits newsstands on February 9, too much?
