Meghan Trainor Asks Jennifer Lopez For Dating Advice

Meghan Trainor was one of many celebrities who attended the American Music Awards last week, and when it comes to women in the music world at the moment, she’s arguably one of the more popular artists who attended.

This year has been very productive for the 20-year-old singer of hits such as “All About That Base” and “Lips Are Moving.” So does that mean that Meghan has had just as productive of a year in the dating department? Well, according to E! News, she’s currently single and ready for a little bit of romance!

“Come on guys! Look how good I’m looking today,” said Meghan Sunday while walking the AMA’s red carpet. “What’s going on?”

So what did Meghan decide to do? According to USA Today, she approached Jennifer Lopez and asked the megastar for some dating advice.

“I told her, ‘How do you get men to actually talk to you and flirt with you?’ Because being an artist now, I’m lacking in that category. And she was like, ‘Be very picky, know your worth, know that you’re awesome and you need to aim high.’ I was like, ‘Alright, that’s awesome.'”

Jennifer Lopez’s advice is very sound, and women everywhere should take note.

Meghan Trainor shouldn’t be too worried about catching herself a man. Not only is she a gorgeous young woman, but she is quickly becoming an idol for women everywhere. With her chart topper “All About That Bass,” Meghan became a voice of reason, meaning she has become the voice of empowerment for many.

“All About That Bass” joined the likes of Colby Caillat’s hit “Try” this year as the top songs for encouraging people to love who they are instead of “hating” themselves because they may fall short of certain societal standards. In Meghan’s song, lyrics such as “If you got beauty, beauty, just raise ’em up/’Cause ever inch of you is perfect/From the bottom to the top,” it’s no wonder why women and even men fell in love with the song.

So we know that Meghan Trainor feels beautiful in her own skin, and now that she has some sound dating advice from megastar Jennifer Lopez, what is she looking for when it comes to a romantic partner? She told reporters that she wants someone who shares her interest in cuddling and maybe her love of music.

“You can make music or not, that’s fine, whatever,” said Trainor. “But also be real cool and make me laugh. That’s it. That’s all you gotta do.”
