‘Ant-Man’ Adds New Cast Member For A Crossover

Is Marvel looking to crossover yet another production? Sort of. According to Latino Review, who has been spot on in the past with their leaks, Hayley Atwell is making her way to Atlanta to film a scene in Ant-Man.

For those who are unaware, Atwell plays Agent Peggy Carter in the Captain America franchise. She also has a new series called Agent Carter that she’s gearing up for, so it looks like we’re going to see a lot of Peggy Carter in the near future.

After rumors circulated around the internet back in August, Ant-Man posted a casting sheet via Project Casting that points to Atwell’s inclusion in the film.

“Casting directors are looking for an actor to work as a stand-in for the actor Hayley Atwell. Hayley Attwell is 31, 5’7 and 112 pounds. She is best known for her work in stage productions such as A View from the Bridge, and in films such as Cassandra’s Dream, The Duchess, The Pillars of the Earth, and Captain America: The First Avenger. In addition, casting directors are looking for a body double that meets certain requirements.”

According to Coming Soon, Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym will appear in a flashback meeting with S.H.I.E.L.D. members Peggy Carter, Armin Zola, Howard Stark, and a young version of Alexander Pierce. According to the outlet, this very scene led to Edgar Wright exiting from Ant-Man as director.

As of right now here’s the cast line up for Ant-Man: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, David Dastmalchian, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington, T.I., and Wood Harris.

Samuel Dore thinks Marvel adding Agent Peggy Carter to the cast doesn’t make a difference to their loss of Wright as director.

“It doesn’t matter the wonderful Agent Carter is appearing in Ant-Man, there’s still the fact Marvel still f—-d up with Edgar Wright.”

That said, for the most part fans are happy about Agent Peggy Carter’s cameo in Ant-Man.
