Dimdim Drums Up $6 Million

Virtual meeting company Dimdim has $6 million to boost its online conferencing business. The money, raised in Series B funding, will be used to develop new features and expand Dimdim’s userbase.

Dimdim is an open source utility that lets you set up free web conferences. Launched in December 2007, the service now claims half a million customers over 180 countries.

Several existing investors led the new funding: Index Ventures, Nexus India Capital, and Draper Richards.
