Ben Affleck Caught Gambling $30,000 In Blackjack At Detroit Casino [Report]

Ben Affleck gambling is making news… again. This time the actor was reportedly spotted in a Detroit casino, and allegedly had $30,000 on the line at one point. Affleck has been in Michigan for months filming the blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to TMZ, Batfleck was at a MotorCity Casino blackjack table in Detroit last week while on a break from filming Batman v Superman. However, the establishment is not confirming or denying the story, and MLive reports a rep for the casino said in an email, “[W]e do not make any comments on our guests.”

Gambling troubles have followed Affleck ever since he was supposedly banned from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Cafe Casino in Las Vegas, in May of this year, an incident that made headlines of the wrong kind for the married father of three. However, TMZ recently published a photo of Ben, in which he is seen sitting at a table playing the cards game this past Friday to the tune of $30,000.

In a recent interview with Details, Affleck — who is promoting his film Gone Girl and has admitted to counting cards in Vegas — came clean about the gambling rumors and revealed what he really thinks about tabloids.

“That’s tabloid s***. That’s all bulls***. They completely lie…My only hope is that people with any common sense recognize that those stories are false.”

The 42-year-old actor also sets the record straight about the alleged ban from the Vegas casino, and says he was only asked to refrain from playing blackjack and not from gambling. Affleck, who says he only plays that particular game, adds he doesn’t gamble money on anything else.

“I had always liked blackjack. I don’t play any other games of chance. I don’t bet on football games, and I don’t gamble at all, really, outside of that.”

It is no wonder Ben Affleck doesn’t care for tabloids, since it was rumored that he and Jennifer Garner were headed for divorce, after the gambling scandal became public. However, there were also reports that Garner was firmly standing by her man, and even said that gambling was a lesser evil and he could be doing worse things.

“Jen is happy with Ben gambling,” a source told Radar Online earlier this year, “because she feels like it keeps him focused.”

But don’t believe everything published in the media. As any Hollywood power couple, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been plagued with divorce rumors for a number of years, for a variety of reasons. For now, gambling doesn’t seem to be a problem… if you believe the rumors.
