‘RHOA’ Star Phaedra Parks May Be Judged For Divorcing Jailed Husband

Phaedra Parks may use The Real Housewives of Atlanta to show off her law career, her children, and her marriage. But behind closed doors, things have not necessarily been so happy. Earlier this year, Apollo Nida pleaded guilty to fraud and identity theft charges, something that Parks didn’t talk about on her social media accounts. Even though she is a lawyer, Parks had no interest in defending her husband.

Earlier this month, Nida was booked, and he is currently in jail. He was sentenced to eight years, which forced Phaedra to really rethink her situation. Many have speculated that she will divorce her husband because she will now be a single mother of two young children. Phaedra Parks doesn’t seem like the kind of person who would take her children to the jail to visit him.

According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, Phaedra Parks may be judged if she decides to divorce her husband. Her fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kandi Burruss was asked about Phaedra during a recent interview, and Kandi believes that viewers will be very judgmental if Parks decides to file the papers while Nida is in jail.

“I feel like if she does do anything she’s going to be judged just because people are like ‘ Oh you’re supposed to stay down with your man’, but nobody really thinks about whatever else may go on and I don’t think that’s fair,” Burruss reveals about her friend’s situation.

At present time, Phaedra has not filed for divorce, and has said nothing in regards to doing so. But Phaedra Parks is filming the newest season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, so she may use that platform to explain the situation and justify some of her decisions. But Kandi speculates that Parks may have her reasons for sticking around at the moment.

“If it was my husband or whatever, I wouldn’t leave him just because he was going to jail. Now, if it was about all of the other stuff that was going on, that’d be different. If he was just doing me wrong all the time I’d be like, ‘I ain’t got time for it,'” she revealed, adding, “There are certain things that can put any relationship in a bad position. So I would just say that, for me, I probably would have been fed up before the jail situation ever came.”

According to The Inquisitr, Phaedra Parks is planning to serve the papers while Nida is in jail. Eight years is a long time to wait for someone, and many would argue that Nida betrayed Phaedra and their sons by participating in illegal activity. At least Phaedra has her friends from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, including Kandi Burruss, during this time.
