Prince Harry Motorcade Involved In Head On Collision [Video]

While on his way to an official engagement, Prince Harry and his motorcade were involved in a serious accident that caused a police motorcyclist to be thrown 30 feet down the road. The driver of the Prius that hit the officer was cut out of the vehicle when the authorities arrived.

Prince Harry was on his way to an Invictus games event when the accident occurred. The high-profile motorcade escorted the prince just as they would any member of the royal family, with the motorcycle police wearing neon green vests to ensure they were visible. The entire motorcade consisted of two blacked out Range Rovers and four motorbike outriders, each driving at a high rate of speed.

As the motorcade sped through the streets, one of the motorbikes collided head on with a taxi, which embedded the bike into the Prius and flung the motorcyclist 30 feet forward. The driver of the Prius was cut from his vehicle and the motorcyclist was tended to at the spot where he landed. Both are said to be in stable condition at this time.

Prince Harry was visibly upset within his vehicle, as the driver took evasive maneuvers, as per his anti-terrorism training. His head was lowered into his hands, occasionally looking back to see if the officer was okay. Although Prince Harry was not physically injured in the accident, there was a mental toll taken on him as the fear of a possible terrorism attack morphed into concern for the injured parties involved in the crash.

A cyclist who witnessed the scene unfold, wishing to remain anonymous, shared his view of the accident.

“I first heard whistles behind me as the motorbikes approached and a convoy suddenly raced past me, going around a roundabout the wrong way. I decided to speed up to see if I could catch up with them. I really wanted to know who it was.”

He continued, “I didn’t see the actual crash but came across it just seconds after it had happened. There was debris everywhere, steam coming out of the car bonnet. It was carnage.”

Prince Harry’s spokesperson responded to Harry’s condition in reference to the accident.

“The prince was obviously very concerned and wanted to make sure the men were OK. He is relieved to hear they are both in a stable condition.”

At this time, there have been no arrests made in the accident, and fears of a potential terrorist attack have been tossed aside. Although shaken up by the event, Prince Harry is doing well.
