The Basset Hound, though the breed is known as a hunting dog, is actually one of the friendliest dogs around. They’re known as great family pets who get along well with children — and here’s a viral video that shows just that.
Posted by Amy Bruni earlier this week, this uber-adorable video shows her family’s rescue dog, Zoe the Basset Hound, hanging out with her daughter, Charlotte. And, boy, have these two hit it off.
Basset Hounds are generally known for chilling out around the house, and, when they’re not out hunting — which for most pet Basset Hounds is not very often — they can be rather lazy. But when Zoe gets around Charlotte, she’s anything but laid back.
Combining a fun-loving dog and a happy toddler, this video has all of the ingredients to put a smile on your face for a long time.
You may even want to go out and adopt a Basset Hound yourself. But if you can’t find one, experts rate Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and poodles as some of the other best breeds when it comes to interacting with children.
