Maybe I’m old fashioned, but seeing the constant use of Bindi Irwin on everything in place of deceased father Steve Irwin pushes the limits.
Bindi, 10 has become the face of The Australia Zoo and the Irwin empire since Steve died in September 2006. Now there’s a Bindi Irwin doll; I captured the above image at Toys R Us today. The poor kid isn’t being allowed to have a childhood, and has instead been turned into a marketing machine. Still, I guess the money they make now can pay for the Psychiatrist bills later.

Thankyou! I'm glad someone else agrees with me. I always cringe whenever I see Bindi win an award, and when she appears on US television. It's so sad what they've turned her into.

Oh, Duncan, it's not THAT bad. I mean, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a similar life, and look how they turned out!

Used as a marketing object, including animations and action figures, since childhood? Just like Michael Jackson? Well that all turned out OK so Bindi will be fine.

I think your all wrong Bindi and Terri have said that they do still cry for Steve and miss him alot but they do that in the own time reamber what Terri said on Enough rope in 2007 she said after she has come back to the zoo she and the kids find it hard with out Steve there but she also said that the she did not want the doll to be like the babe dolls that don't mean anything it has to be about wildlife in which it is and in the first episodes of Bindi the jungle Steve is in them so you say he would be cross with Terri about this when he always said I want my kids to carry on my work look Steve and Terri are good parents and care about animals and have share that with the kids and every one and all the money they get goes to help the animals and every thing Bindi and Robert do is to do with animals I really say its bad the way people say mean things about the Irwins they have neaver hurt anyone I mean I have seen Terri in the fleash and she is so kind she is like well an angle god Bless Irwins.
