Teenage singer/actress Miranda Cosgrove has been forced to postpone her “Dancing Crazy Tour” after breaking her ankle in a tour bus crash on Thursday morning.
Illinois State police reports say that he 18-year-old iCarly star and her entourage were en route to Wichita, Kansas for a show when their bus smashed into a tractor-trailer that had overturned on the road, blocking one of its lanes.
Cosgrove, her mother, several other passengers, the bus driver, the driver of the tractor-trailer and two pedestrians who had stopped to help were taken to a hospital following the crash, the reports said.
“There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle,” Cosgrove’s publicist said in a statement issued to TMZ. “At the time, we are told everyone will be fine. Her tour is postponed until further notice.”
The rep went on to say that the singer would let her fans know when she decides to resume the show and added that “Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support”.
Her tour began on July 15 in Columbus Ohio and it was supposed to end 41 cities later in Phoenix, Arizona on October 23.
