Two Idiots Attempt To Rob A Jewelry Store In Fresno (Video)

We all remember Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the two buffoons attempting to be thieves in the Home Alone movies. That is a close resemblance to the two half-wit wanna-be robbers who tried to steal from Joyeria Marlene’s jewelry store in Southeast Fresno. The entire scene was caught on surveillance cameras, so there is no denying the calamity that took place according to Fugitive.com.

The two boys, which investigators believe to be around 17-years-old as reported by ABC30.com, walked into the jewelry store pretending to be customers as they walked around looking at things and talking to the employee. It wasn’t long before Robber #1 pulls out a gun and aims it at the employee as his hand is shaking.

Suddenly, Robber #2 reaches in his pocket, but instead of pulling out a weapon, he pulls out a cell phone! He’s actually taking a call during his robbery? Seriously? As Robber #2 continues to chat on this cell, he takes a clumsy leap in the air trying to jump over the jewelry counter, only to find himself floundering to the floor. All the while, still gabbing on his phone per ABC30.com.

Robber #1 seems a bit distracted by his partner’s lack of athletic ability, while the employee begins yelling that he is being robbed. Little did the buffoon robbers know that the owner, the owner’s wife, and their newborn baby were in the backroom. But more importantly, the owner’s shotgun was also in that backroom.

Before Robber #1 could say, “Stick ’em up!” and while Robber #2 was trying to get up off the floor, the jewelry store owner emerges like Rambo from the backroom with a massive shotgun aimed at the buffoon robbers. Ruh-Roh, as Scooby-Doo would say.

Robber #1’s expression changed from “I don’t know what I’m doing” to one of pure horror. He looks behind him at Robber #2 who is suddenly back on the floor and doing Barney Fife’s squat walk out the door. Robber #1 looks almost apologetic as he stares down the barrel of a shotgun before ducking and running out the door behind his robber pal.

“It wasn’t very… planned out very well,” said Jose Llamas, the owner’s brother as reported by ABC30.com. That’s obvious from the video! As he laughs about it now, Llamas said the two robbers were very lucky. Why? Because he continues to say, “I would have been shooting them out the door.”

ABC30.com reveals that the owner, Soledad Castaneda stated she is “very angry that these kids with no jobs would put them in danger to steal from a hardworking family. ”
