Perry’s newest single, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), climbed up this week from number two on Billboard’s top 40 chart to grab the top spot, joining her previous chart-toppers: “Teenage Dream,”"California Gurls,” “Firework” and “E.T.” – all from her platinum-selling second album Teenage Dream.

Prior to her  Teenage Dream success, Katy was tied with Justin Timberlake (FutureSex/LoveSounds) and Lady Gaga (The Fame), whose albums yielded four number ones apiece.

In addition to breaking the single’s record, Perry’s latest hit – currently holding down the #2 position – is set to take over the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100, which would make her the second artist ever to mark five #1 singles from the same album on the iconic chart, a mark held by Michael Jackson’s Bad.

Does Perry’s Last Friday Night live up to the hype? Watch the video below and find out for yourself.
