EVE Online, Minecraft, League of Legends Hit By Hackers

Hacking group LulzSec, the group responsible for the recent attacks on Epic Games, Codemasters and Bethesda, have hit EVE Online, Minecraft and League of Legends today.

All three services were the target of distributed denial of service attacks that took down League of Legends‘ log-in servers, EVE Online‘s Tranquility server, and an attempted attack on Minecraft‘s server. The former two are still experiencing difficulties as of the time of writing, but Minecraft appears to be up and running for now.

Additionally, LulzSec took aim at Escapist Magazine several hours ago, and as of right now the site is still unresponsive.

EVE Online developer CCP confirmed the attack on Twitter, noting that the company decided to take down the servers as a ‘security precaution’.
