Alicia Quaco: Air Force First Lieutenant And Cheerleader For Seahawks, See Her At The Super Bowl

Alicia Quaco works at two jobs. Nothing surprising about that; many Americans have a “day job”, and another job to help make ends meet.

But Alicia’s combination is a little unusual – probably unique. Her day job is working for Uncle Sam in the military – she’s a first lieutenant in the US Air Force.

And, what does she do in the evenings? She goes to training practice for her second job as a member of the cheerleading squad for the Seattle Seahawks!

Alicia Quaco, 25, works during the day as a contract manager for the Air Force, but at night she swaps her camouflage fatigues for tiny shorts, glittery makeup and – of course – pom poms.

Alicia comments that, between the uniform and the cheerleader’s outfit, “It’s a lot of costume changes. I don’t get to wear normal clothes very often.”She added “And I have hardly any free time.”

Of course, before she could take up her cheerleader duties, she had to convince her superior officers to let her moonlight as a Sea Gal after she was accepted by the squad last year.

“I told them it’s good for recruitment. It shows that the Air Force is well-rounded, that we can do other things, too. It’s great for women recruits to know that,” said Quaco. “Ultimately, they ended up agreeing.”

Alicia Quaco is from Carlsbad, California, and wrote this profile on the official “Sea Gals” bio when asked about the best experience of her life:

“The day I joined the Military. I was 18 years old at the time, and the Air Force shaped me into the person I am today. Some days have been hard, but every day has been worth it.”

You can see Alicia Quaco in both of her “uniforms” in the photo above.

Do you think pom-poms would go well with the uniform in Air Force blue?
