WWE News: WWE Said To Be Pushing Eva Marie To NXT Women’s Title ‘Despite What Fans Think Of Her’

For years now, WWE has been known for pushing an idea down the throats of fans regardless of what they think about the idea. Whether it’s too much John Cena or too much Roman Reigns — it simply does not matter. If WWE is behind the idea of pushing someone, they will do it regardless of what anyone else thinks of them doing it. While this used to be heavily against what WWE NXT did, as it has been run by Triple H, it looks like the higher ups are making something happen just because they can.

According to Cageside Seats , WWE is still dead set on pushing WWE NXT Diva Eva Marie. They want to push her to the NXT Women’s Title , where she would most likely win it from NXT favorite Bayley. It is said that regardless of how the Full Sail crowd reacts to her, she will win the NXT Women’s Title. It should be noted that WWE is planning to have her win it either at the end of this year or early next year.

This means she will most likely get a shot at the title in the UK when WWE NXT visits there for a NXT Takever special. This is already speculated to be a big event that will include William Regal’s retirement match. It is interesting that WWE would consider such a place. If they could make it happen anywhere other than the UK, they might be okay. But the UK fans are rabid, and they will share their displeasure regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Brooklyn, New York, was not nice to Eva Marie when she worked in front of them. The UK fans are much harsher, so if she were to win there, the boos might be deafening.

The big issue with Eva Marie is not that she doesn’t look good or look like a champion — she does. However, her in-ring ability absolutely sucks. Even after working with Brian Kendrick, she still has a long way to go. She botches continuously and misses major things in the ring. She can only put on a match for seemingly seven to eight minutes maximum before she is done. Imagine seeing WWE NXT go back to that. After the likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Bayley, the bar has been set extremely high. Eva Marie isn’t even half as good as the former models that came in before her that were terrible. She still makes massive mistakes in the ring that anyone with eyeballs can see at any age.

It would make sense if she won the title in a triple threat match, which would allow Bayley to stay out of the pinfall while someone else took it, possibly Dana Brooke. However, if a one-on-one match were to occur with Bayley, it makes no sense for her to lose to Eva Marie. Bayley has been putting on classics with everyone, and she will do so yet again with Sasha Banks in the first NXT Ironwoman match at the Takeover event in October.

If she went from that to losing to Eva Marie, it would tick fans off more than anyone could even comprehend. If it happened in the UK, you might as well get the casket match concept ready — someone’s career might end. Should WWE push a person no one seems to like, especially the crowd for which she will perform in front of often? It seems like an idiotic idea at the very least.
