The Young And The Restless is an American soap opera created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell that premiered in 1973 and that still runs to this day. It runs five days per week for an hour and is internationally syndicated. The series is the highest-rated daytime drama on television and has won eight Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. It has also won several Screen Actors Guild awards. For 25 years, it was the highest-rated daytime drama. Because of its strong ratings, the show has been renewed through 2017. In 2006, SOAPnet began airing reruns of The Young And The Restless and moved to the Pop network in 2013, where reruns are still aired to this day.
