Roman Reigns is the stage name of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) performer Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoa’i. Anoa’i is part of wrestling royalty with a family that includes WWE legends Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga, The Usos, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He got his wrestling start with NXT, WWE’s developmental territory, after a brief run with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League (NFL). He also played one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Edmonton Eskimos. Roman Reigns rose to prominence as one of three members of “The Shield” faction before transitioning to a solo career, which has included one Royal Rumble win.
