Heyman has been one of the most influential forces behind the wrestling industry since the early 1990s. Once the owner and creative director of the upstart Extreme Championship Wrestling, Heyman helped push its extreme style and colorful wrestlers to the mainstream. He later signed with the WWE, managing a number of big names, including Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and Kurt Angle. But Paul Heyman is more than just a behind-the-scenes character, using his strong ring presence and large personality to draw more attention to his stars and ultimately to the WWE. Heyman has an interesting background, serving as a controversial radio show host just out of college and at one time as a promoter for the notorious Studio 54 in Manhattan.
