Netflix, Inc.

Netflix is the largest and best-known provider of streaming media in the world, with close to 30 million subscribers across the globe.

Established in 1997, the company first made its mark as a video-by-mail delivery service, but soon expanded to offer thousands of titles for streaming live over the internet.

Netflix has also helped to change the entire broadcast landscape, becoming one of the first streaming media providers to offer original programming. Today, Netflix produces a number of popular series including House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, and is credited with leading a shift of power away from networks.
