Monday Night Raw is the flagship program of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Raw, as it’s often referred to, premiered on January 11, 1993, on the USA Network. Over its lengthy run, it has moved once to The Nashville Network (TNN), which would later become the National Network and eventually SpikeTV. It was SpikeTV where Raw aired a historic simulcast in 2001 with then-bitter rival WCW Monday Nitro on Nitro’s last episode. WWE Owner/CEO Vince McMahon had purchased WCW, unbeknownst to many, and worked the end of the organization into WWE storylines to the shock of many wrestling fans. In 2005, Monday Night Raw returned to the USA Network, where it ranks consistently in the top 25 cable programs.
