Leann Rimes is an American singer who rose to prominence in 1996 with her debut country album, Blue. Just 13-years-old at the time, Rimes received international acclaim for her soulful voice which was compared to Patsy Cline’s. Since then, Leann has sold more than 37 million albums worldwide and won two Grammys, three ACMs, one CMA, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and one American Music award. Her singing career was tarnished by lawsuits against her father for mismanaging her contracts and effectively stealing $8 million of her royalties. She then filed lawsuits against her label, Asylum-Curb, to be released from the contract her parents signed on her behalf. In 2002, Rimes married dancer Dean Sheremet, later divorcing him in 2009 after an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian. She married Cibrian in 2011.
