Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is an award-winning singer and songwriter from Manhattan, New York. She attended a private Roman Catholic Church during her school years, but by the time she reached high school, her talent was apparent to those around her, who encouraged her to attend New York’s Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21). Gaga’s first solo album, The Fame, started out slow but eventually grew to be a monster success, catapulting the singer into superstardom. Since then, Gaga has continued to make successful music, winning Grammy Awards, MTV Music Awards, a Songwriter’s Hall of Fame award, and setting 13 records in the Guinness Book of World Records.
