Kenya Summer Moore was born in Michigan in 1971 and was raised by her paternal grandmother and aunt, as her parents were teenagers. In 1993, she was given the title of Miss Michigan, and a year later, she was Miss USA.
She had been a model before then and continued to model for Ebony. She attended Wayne State University and was seeking a degree in Communications. After her pageant titles, she went on to guest star on shows like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Steve Harvey Show. Recently, she did Celebrity Apprentice and is now a regular on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
