Katy Perry is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame after her single “I Kissed A Girl” was released in 2008. Her second album, Teenage Dream, was released in 2010, and contained five singles that topped the Billboard 100 charts: “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” A sixth single from that album, “The One That Got Away,” rose to No. 3 on the Billboard 100. Teenage Dream was the first album by a female to score five No. 1 singles on the Billboard 100, an achievement also held by Michael Jackson. Perry has since re-released Teenage Dream, as well as her fourth album, Prism. She has won multiple awards and is on the Forbes list of the top-earning women in music. Perry has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with John Mayer for a number of years.
