James Franco is an American actor, writer, and teacher best known for his roles in movies such as the Spider-Man trilogy, Milk, and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. He’s a celebrated actor, having won a Golden Globe for his role in the made for television movie, James Dean, as well as an Academy Award nod for his role in 127 Hours in 2010. In addition to his extensive acting career, Franco is also a teacher, having taught film classes at New York University, University of Southern California, UCLA, and most recently, at Palo Alto High School in California. Something of a Renaissance man, in April 2014, Franco also published a book of poetry, entitled Directing Herbert White.
