Born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, Iggy Azalea is an Australian singer, rapper, and model. Azalea moved to the United States at the tender age of 16 to pursue a career in music, making her debut on YouTube with her songs “Pu$$y” and “Two Times.” She signed with record label Grand Hustle in 2012, debuting with her first studio album, The New Classic, in 2014. Her biggest single off of The New Classic, “Fancy,” hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 in 2014. She was also featured on Ariana Grande’s single “Problem,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 100 behind “Fancy.” Although she was supposed to tour in 2015 to promote The New Classic and her second studio album, the tour was canceled. Azalea explained she wanted to take a break to figure out her artistic direction.
