George W. Bush is the 43rd president of the United States. He is married to Laura Bush, and has two daughters, Barbara and Jenna. At one point, he was the co-owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team before becoming governor of Texas. In 2000, he was elected president of the United States. His presidential career was controversial, with the September 11th attacks occurring just months into his presidency. Consequently, Bush launched the “War On Terror”, eventually invading Iraq and deposing Saddam Hussein. In 2004, George W. Bush ran for president again, winning over Democratic candidate John Kerry. In 2005, he also dealt with the Hurricane Katrina tragedy, garnering criticism over his response. He currently lives in Texas and is a public speaker.
