The Duchess of Cambridge is Catherine Middleton, who is married to the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, whom she met when she was a student at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Middleton grew up mostly in the area of Berkshire, England, with her parents, a sister, and a brother, and she married Prince William in an extravagant ceremony at Westminster Abbey in April 2011. Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed son Prince George in July of 2013 and daughter Princess Charlotte in May of 2015, and she has taken on a number of charitable causes in her role as the Duchess of Cambridge.
