Beyonce Knowles-Carter is an American singer and actress. She began her successful music career with the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, which became one of the best-selling female acts of all time under the direction of Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles. In 2003, Beyonce released a solo album titled Dangerously In Love, and when Destiny’s Child split in 2006, Beyonce released her second album, B’Day. She also began acting, starring in Dreamgirls, The Pink Panther, and Obsessed. In 2009, Beyonce married rapper and music mogul Jay-Z Carter. The couple have a daughter together named Blue Ivy. In 2008, Beyonce released I Am’sasha Fierce, which earned the singer six Grammy Awards. She released two more albums, 4, in 2011, and Beyonce in 2013.
