Teen Mom Leah Messer appears to be under the influence of something during the season 6 trailer for Teen Mom 2 , but has the reality star’s alleged drug use been exposed? For the last several months, the Teen Mom has been accused of being addicted to prescription pills, and judging by the recently released trailer, the rumors may be true.
As Wetpaint Entertainment pointed out on June 2, Messer appears to be “totally zoned out” during one scene of the Teen Mom 2 trailer, with her eyes rolling to the back of her head. According to a second report, via Radar Online , the Teen Mom ‘s reported drug use during season 6 leads her ex-husband, Corey Simms, to confront her on-camera.
In July of last year, episodes of Teen Mom 2 season 5 depicted what was later deemed an allergic reaction to prescription medication. On the show, after being prescribed anti-anxiety medication, Messer was seen slurring her words and admitting to feeling like she was on drugs to her husband, Jeremy Calvert.
“I’m about to start crying on you. When I first take that medicine, I feel calm and I feel like I can do stuff. I took half this time instead of a full one, and now I feel really messed up. I’ve never felt like that ever in my life. I don’t like feeling like that. I feel like I’m slurring, I just feel really weird and I’m freaking out. It helps me at first and then I start feeling like a damn druggie.”
Because of her bad reaction to the pills, the Teen Mom stopped taking the medication. However, now that fans have seen her behavior during season 6, everyone is wondering if she either went back on the pills — or possibly started taking something different.
Earlier this year, Dawn Spears, mother of Messer, denied reports of her daughter’s alleged drug use . As the Inquisitr previously reported, Spears shared a message on Facebook. Below is what the message said:
“TRUE FANS listen up. Leah is NOT going to rehab lol. This is Momma Dawn and I 100% ASSURE you that Leah is NOT going to a DRUG REHAB. Lots of LOVE to the true fans. all will come out on the upcoming show about Leah Dawn Calvert, Jeremy, Corey,Miranda, and the babies. But rest assure I HATE drugs don’t want association with them and wouldn’t NEVER Condone them. Love ALL have a good night Momma Dawn.”
Teen Mom 2 season six premieres on July 9 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
