Selena Gomez reportedly feels pressured to help her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
Following a number of odd Bieber happenings in Boston weeks ago, including a barefoot outing at a park and an impromptu squirrel feeding, the 22-year-old singer has reportedly gotten the attention of Selena Gomez, who “hates” seeing him like this.
“[Selena Gomez] hates seeing him get in trouble all the time because she honestly feels she could have helped him and still could help him,” a source told Hollywood Life on June 10. “It is always an uphill battle for her because he is so stubborn, but she always feels that she should be there for him because in her mind they have such a strong connection. She really just wants him to be healthy and happy.”

Just last week, following an appearance at the Cleveland Cavaliers stadium, Bieber came to blows with a 6’5” man after an apparent trash-talking incident. Then, after the fight, Bieber shared a photo of himself on Instagram with the caption, “not a scratch on this pretty boy,” which he later deleted.
“[Selena Gomez] hates seeing Justin get into fights,” the source explained to Hollywood Life . “She thinks that it is really stupid and does nothing positive for him at all. She’s just thankful that’s he’s okay and it wasn’t anything more serious.”
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have regularly spent time together after their 2012 split, but their last meeting was back in March, when Gomez attended Bieber’s Los Angeles show, and they haven’t been seen together since. That said, Bieber has seemingly reached out to Selena Gomez to let her know he was thinking of her by following her on Instagram last week and posting a video of himself listening to “Same Old Love” over the weekend.

News of Selena Gomez’s alleged concerns for Bieber come just a short time after a source claimed she was upset that he didn’t fight harder to stay together when they parted ways.
“Justin is so passionate for his work, so passionate when it comes to not doing any photos with fans, so passionate when it comes to gloating he didn’t get hurt when he got in his latest fight. But he was never passionate in keeping [Selena Gomez]’s heart and she hates that she wasn’t important enough for him to make what they had work,” a second source told Hollywood Life .
“[Selena Gomez] wishes he would have fought for her like he fights for everything else in his life, with passion. And the fact she thinks she never got that from him makes her always go back and want to help him and that is also why she will always be there for him,” the insider added.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber hinted at a possible reconciliation earlier this year when he shared a photo of them on Instagram in which they were seen kissing one another in a swimming pool. In the caption, Bieber wrote, “feels,” and after he shared the photo, Selena Gomez liked it and added the message, “perfect.”
However, after both Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Baldwin were seen at one of Bieber’s Los Angeles concerts around the same time, the possible love connection between Selena Gomez and Bieber seemed to fade.
While Selena Gomez has certainly seen what is going on with Bieber in recent weeks, she’s keeping busy with her Revival World Tour and doesn’t appear to have any plans to intervene.
