Ramona Singer is one strange woman, but she owns who she is. She’s been showing her crazy side on The Real Housewives of New York, and some people love to hate her. For years, Singer kept bragging about how wonderful her marriage to Mario Singer was, as she kept saying how it was so rare for two people to be in love after so many years. But her marriage and her life fell apart when she learned that Mario had been dating a much younger woman behind her back. She felt that he was insecure because she had gotten so much fame from The Real Housewives of New York.
According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now opening up about her losing her cool in the Berkshires, and she explains that she has perhaps crossed the line in how she handled the entire situation with Bethenny Frankel. Of course, this blowout is just one of many for Singer, so fans aren’t too rattled about the situation. In fact, former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin believes that Ramona is actually really angry because she has years of resentment inside of her. But maybe her resentment has nothing to do with Bethenny, according to Bravo.
Perhaps Singer has thought about how she came across and is wondering why she reacted the way she did. Maybe she does have resentment toward Bethenny, as Frankel may not have been there when it was revealed that Mario had cheated on her.
“While watching myself back and thinking about all that happened that night at Dorinda’s, I truly know that however I behaved—or as I say reacted—to Bethenny was truly a burst of so many things I have wanted to say. I was so frustrated at the way things were going. She didn’t even give me an opportunity to explain why I said what I said that night at dinner in the Hamptons. That is so frustrating,” Ramona Singer explained on her Bravo blog, but she doesn’t point to any resentment at all.
Instead of taking responsibility for her own actions, Ramona Singer points to her co-star, saying that she knows how to push buttons. And this is what she blames on her random outburst during the Berkshires trip.
“Bethenny really knew that she was going to push my buttons enough for me to react the way I did. What I am most sorry about now is that I let it happen. I should have just been as cold and indifferent the way she was. I did think I had a friendship with Bethenny. It may not have been the perfect friendship, but it was a friendship. I think I missed the signals for sure that she really didn’t care enough ever to be my friend, except when she needed me or needed something from me. She never really cared about us. It’s never one-sided, that is for sure, but certainly not jealously. I have no reason to be jealous of her,” Ramona Singer continued on her Bravo blog for the show.
It’s very interesting that Jill Zarin is talking about resentment. Maybe Ramona is jealous that Bethenny has been able to move on from her divorce, while Singer is still hurting. Maybe Singer is upset that Frankel’s Skinnygirl business is doing much better than Ramona’s business. Maybe she’s jealous of everything that Bethenny does even though she has the freedom to do the same things.
What do you think of Ramona Singer’s explanation of her outburst? Do you think Jill Zarin is right about Ramona holding on to years of resentment and anger toward Frankel?
