Liam Payne and Niall Horan just released some hot and sexy new music. Niall’s “Slow Hands” and Liam’s “Strip That Down,” are both smoking hot and sexy summer songs, but musically the styles are very different.
Niall Horan went with a classic rock sound for “Slow Hands,” while Liam Payne’s new “Strip That Down” has a hip-hop beat. Both songs are clever, fun, catchy, and have a nice but simple beat.
Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” hit number one on the iTunes chart almost immediately upon release, according to Headline Planet. Niall Horan definitely has a hit on his hands this time.
Though Niall Horan’s Town” was a beautiful ballad, “Slow Hands” is a catchy, sexy, and fun summer anthem. Niall Horan obviously had fun with this song, as seen in the video.
Liam Payne couldn’t wait to introduce his new solo single “Strip That Down,” as well. Payne’s song is way too new to hit the charts yet, but Liam Payne worked hard on this and has an album coming out soon.
The One Direction boy’s songs are going to be the music of the summer of 2017. Chances are good that those summer memories of young love will be made this summer to the tune of “Slow hands,” “Strip That Down,” “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” and selected songs from Harry Styles’ new album.
Niall Horan and Liam Payne may not be getting the attention that Harry Styles is enjoying but “Slow Hands” is very well executed, and Liam’s debut single “Strip That Down” deserves credit for uniqueness, as a more gentle version of the hip-hop genre.
Liam Payne struggled to come up with some sort of signature hip-hop sound and seems to have invented hip-hop lite. There seems to be a bit of old fashioned bump and grind to Liam Payne’s music as well, but that’s on the lite side too. The song is unique in that way. It’s sexy or flirty without going all the way, so to speak.
Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik all have new music on the Billboard’s Top 100 heading into the summer. It’s going to be the One Direction summer, with all that extra sexy music from all the One Direction boys. Expect to hear these favorite boy band members now all grown up men, making the summer sizzle.
Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are hot right now but don’t forget about the new music from Liam Payne and Niall Horan because they will be making this summer extra hot as Directioners lay by the pool and hit the dance floor. So where is Louis Tomlinson?
Louis Tomlinson has a huge single coming out any day now with Bebe Rexha, according to MTV, and there is an album in the works, but no word yet on exactly when that will happen.
Liam Payne’s album should be out soon, perhaps in a month or two. One Direction fans are hoping that Liam Payne has created a great album that will sell.
Niall Horan’s album reportedly won’t be ready until late fall or early winter. With two singles already under his belt, Niall Horan is a breakout musician to watch. Niall has a lot of talent and a promising career ahead.
Liam Payne and Niall Horan, as well as Louis Tomlinson, do not really have enough solo music out to really state with any certainty what might be on those upcoming albums, so the critics need to be nice. Some of them were a bit puzzled by Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” as well. It was very different than what many expected, but with the Harry Styles album, the full picture became clear.
While Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” has been well received, Liam Payne’s “Strip That Down” drew some major criticism from Forbes, who called it “pretty lame.”
“The track is built on top of an incredibly basic hip-hop beat that immediately sounds out of place coming from Liam Payne. Lyrically, the song is also surprisingly simple and straightforward, and it relies far too heavily on tired pop themes like letting loose at the club and drinking Coke and Bacardi.”
Yes, Liam Payne’s song is simple, and lyrically there is no arguing that it is basic, but so is summer fun for teens and young adults for whom the club scene isn’t yet such a routine. Perhaps the song speaks to those less experienced; young people who still think rum and coke is an exciting grown-up beverage. Liam Payne’s song might also bring back memories for those not so jaded.
As for critiquing One Direction’s five solo artists, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan those who have only heard a song a few times, or just this week, should hold off their judgment a bit. Those Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles songs will sound better the more they are played over and over, and these songs are sure to get played over and over.
