Hillary Clinton Slammed On Twitter, Her Past Controversies [Opinion]

The fight against some of Donald Trump’s policies is not over as far as Hillary Clinton is concerned. This is according to one of her latest tweets celebrating the demise of the Republican health care bill that was set to replace Obamacare. She termed it “a victory for all Americans,” something which seemed to rub many the wrong way. Her tweet read as follows.

“Today was a victory for the 24,000,000 people at risk of losing their health insurance, for seniors, for families battling the quiet epidemic of addiction, for new moms and women everywhere.”

“Most of all, it’s a victory for anyone who believes affordable health care is a human right. We cannot forget: This victory happened because people in every corner of our country committed their time and energy to calling their representatives, showing up at town hall meetings, and making their voices heard. The fight isn’t over yet – we have to push back on future bad ideas and embrace good ones to make health care more affordable – but we are reminded today that there is no substitute for standing up and defending our values.”

This team has so much to be proud of. Whatever happens tonight, thank you for everything.

One of the most notable individuals to trounce the 2016 U.S. Presidential candidate was Ben Shapiro, who responded with a tweet citing her involvement in the Libyan war, stating, “You definitely improved lives in Libya.”

Many of those who responded to Hillary also pointed to her record, which is rife with controversies. The following are some of the tweets in relation to this.

Delving a bit into some of the controversies surrounding Clinton, the Benghazi scandal in which she was implicated led to a two-year investigation that absolved her of any wrongdoing, at least directly. According to her statement, she was not to blame for the negligence that led to the murder of four American citizens by militia in Benghazi, because she had already delegated security to the professionals.

Four diplomats, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were attacked and killed in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. Inadequate security was blamed for their deaths. Given the general state of insecurity in the area, the United States government, which is charged with the responsibility of protecting its citizens, was expected to send more officers to offer protection to staff, but this didn’t happen.

Scripture tells us: Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.

Apparently, the government also ignored requests from its staff in Benghazi for additional security and actually recalled some of the security officers assigned to the post. The initial ratio was 1.5 security officers per diplomat, but after the withdrawal, it was down to one protecting 4.5 diplomats.

The following are excerpts of statements released by the investigative committee in regard to the Benghazi attack investigation. They blame the Obama government and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for worsening the Benghazi situation and trying to cover up.

Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-04) released the following statement regarding these findings.

“Obama Administration officials, including the Secretary of State, learned almost in real time that the attack in Benghazi was a terrorist attack. Rather than tell the American people the truth, the administration told one story privately and a different story publicly.”

Rep. Peter Roskam (IL-06) released the following statement regarding these findings.

“In the days and weeks after the attacks, the White House worked to pin all of the blame for their misleading and incorrect statements on officials within the intelligence community.”

The full report can be found here. Hillary Clinton has also been blamed for arming rebel groups in Syria, some of which have been affiliated with ISIS. In another related instance, she and the Obama government were blamed for supplying arms and offering technical support to Libyan rebels so as to usurp Colonel Muammar Gaddafi from power. This development is believed to have created fertile ground for ISIS to encroach.
