Once Upon a Time Season 5 will bring the dark side out of Emma Swan. The cast is currently filming episodes for the new season, and some spoilery set photos have been released that show Jennifer Morrison as Dark Swan.
These new photos also show off her relationship with Hook. He did not abandon her after she went dark in the Season 4 finale. In fact, the couple appears to be sharing a tender moment in the new set photos.

According to Enstarz , Colin O’Donoghue , the actor behind Hook, spoke about the upcoming season at Comic-Con earlier this month, and he revealed more about Hook and Emma’s relationship. He will stand by her side, even after her dark side comes out. However, it is complicated.
“Hook spent hundreds of years trying to kill the Dark One and now his girlfriend is the Dark One so it’s going to be complicated. Hook loves Emma and he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her heart and bring her back to being good again and being the woman that he fell in love with. As much as Belle could see the good in Rumple, Hook is the same with Emma. Whether or not he decides to go dark again to try to get that back – I don’t know. We haven’t explored that yet, but it’ll be interesting to see. Even in the last season when he was trying to be good he still had that little bit of darkness. He’s a pirate so he’ll do whatever he has to do to protect the people that he loves.”
A previous Inquisitr report revealed that Emma will try to fight her dark impulses. As the savior, she had powerful light magic, and those two sides will battle inside her.
Josh Dallas did tease that fans really would need to prepare themselves for the premiere, and both Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin teased more about Once Upon a Time Season 5 to Buddy TV. Dallas revealed that Emma’s parents might go to great lengths to get their daughter back.
“They’ve done some terrible things. They try so hard, and they put goodness on such a pedestal. It’s a hard thing to live up to, so I think you’re going to see them probably calm down a little bit about that and maybe even go to some questionable lengths to get Emma back to the savior that she once was.”
As for the dagger, Goodwin revealed that the holder of Emma’s dagger would be revealed immediately, but she teased that she did not think it should be her parents.
This does pose an interesting question with the spoilers revealed above – will Hook have control of Emma’s dark dagger?
