If you happen to have an internet connection, chances are that you’ve heard about the Kanye West/ Kim Kardashian wedding that took place yesterday. The two long-time friends and lovebirds tied the knot in a lavish outdoor ceremony in at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, after which they threw a party fit only for the Hollywood royalty known as Kimye.

The couple dressed to impress and asked their guests to do the same. Even their 11-month-old daughter was decked out in Givenchy. According to a source with Us Weekly , Kim wore a Givenchy haute couture gown, West sported a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci tux, and North wore a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress. When it came time to walk down the aisle, Kim was escorted by Bruce Jenner while mom Kris walked with her granddaughter in her arms.
When it came time to exchange vows, the couple went all out with their wedding bands. Both exchanged a handmade band with the other. Keeping with tradition, Kim’s wedding ring was a diamond band and Kanye put on a gold band. Kim’s wedding ring was specially designed to complement her 15-carat diamond engagement ring she was given when Kanye proposed.
Everyone who attended the wedding got the royal treatment, receiving specialty gifts. One gift that each guest received was a small white bouquet of flowers and each guest had a 24-carat gold nameplate at their place setting. However, it would appear that not everyone who was invited decided to show up. While it’s not certain whether Rob Kardashian, younger brother of Kim, was present for any or all of the ceremony, he did spend time with the family in both Italy and France. Kanye’s close friend Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce decided to skip what is being called the wedding of the year . The couple took to social media while spending the weekend in The Hamptons. Beyonce posted the following to her Instagram account to recognize the nuptials:

Other notable celebrities who apparently were in attendance include Jayden Smith, LaLa Anthony, Tracey Mills, Tony Williams, and John Legend (who performed his hit “All of Me” at the reception).
