Mindy Kaling Bids Adieu to Her Apartment in Manhattan After Selling It for $2.4 Million
"The Office" actress Mindy Kaling has finally sold her Manhatten apartment at the heart of New York at a solid $2.4 million after initially wanting to sell the property for $2.75 million seven months ago. Although she purchased her Layfette Street apartment back in 2017 for $3.1 million, Kaling offers no comment on the loss, reports New York Post.
The apartment provides a beautiful view of the Williamsburg Bridge. This stunning 1,166-square-foot apartment has two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The building is fully secure and has a doorman who monitors everything 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also has a fully functional gym with stellar amenities.
The main hall, having good ventilation and sufficient space, is well furnished with an L-shaped comfy white couch, lampshades, artwork on the walls, and blue side chairs while offering a lovely view of the city through the big bay windows.
The kitchen is designed based on modernity and functionality. The counter is made out of Italian marble and is surrounded by black chic barstools for those lazy morning meals. The tone of the kitchen is perfect for any duration of the day to enjoy a meal.
The first bedroom is well-lit and like the hall, maintains its theme of blue and white with subtle shades of grey. The bedroom has a low-rise bed with a flatscreen TV for entertainment. The room is adorned with artwork on parallel sides of the wall and to liven the room, a few potted plants have been added. A metallic ceiling lamp provides the final touch to the ceiling. The second bedroom is also established with a similar theme and has two flatscreens.
The bathrooms attached to both rooms are the highlights of the home as they have a spa-like atmosphere. Lined with black marble and white tiles, the bathroom is truly something out of an architecture magazine. The bright yet subtle hints of cream on the wall tiles make the bathrooms quite luxurious.
Kaling recently took to Instagram after posting a carousel of pictures from a fun night. The actress was headed for a night out in the city and wore a lovely black romper that complimented her elegantly along with golden heels. For accessories, she went with iconic gold minimalistic jewelry, which included bracelets on one hand and a gorgeous ring on the other along with a gold bedazzled purse to complete the aesthetic.
She may not have been open about the real estate deal, but Kaling certainly shared her journey with losing weight as she continued to make healthy life choices – a new diet plan which includes alternation of portions during meal consumption, and some good exercise. In her post, fans commend her for taking this step toward a healthier lifestyle.
