Knock knock! Who’s there? Not Ryan Seacrest! Knock Knock Live , Ryan Seacrest’s new unscripted show was canceled after just two episodes, reports Business Insider. A source revealed Knock Knock Live was canceled, but didn’t detail the reasons behind the ax.
It’s probable Knock Knock Live was canceled after failing to deliver on ratings. According to Entertainment Weekly , Knock Knock Live will be replaced by a one-hour encore of repeats, including, The Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The first episode of the canceled Knock Knock Live premiered on July 21, and while the idea behind the show should have been a home run, it failed to deliver the ratings promised. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Knock Knock Live averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall before Fox canceled the show.

Those numbers “marked the lowest ratings for any Big Four series premiere this summer.” Before it was canceled, Knock Knock Live was heavily promoted by Fox , and its host, Ryan Seacrest, was executive producer along with Dick Clark Productions and XIX Entertainment. XIX Entertainment is owned by Simon Cowell, reports Business Insider .
Knock Knock Live was to air weekly. The premise of the show was to grant wishes to unsuspecting people, after enlisting the help of friends, families, neighbors, and celebrities. David Beckham and Common guest starred in the two episodes that were aired, along with Justin Bieber, who handed out donations in the second episode. Martha Stewart and Meghan Trainor were rumored to appear in future episodes.
In the episode featuring Justin Bieber, the pop star was to grant a wish to a girl who missed her quinceañera due to contracting meningitis and almost dying, reports the Daily Mail. “ She’s a really big fan of mine,” Justin revealed. “She missed a lot of important events in her life, I just wanted to bless her.” According to the girl’s sister, Justin already performed a divine intervention through his music.

“Justin Bieber’s music is really what got Ashley through this,” she divulged, telling Seacrest that Justin Bieber’s song “Pray” was a particular source of inspiration.
In the episode that aired before Knock Knock Live was canceled, Bieber granted the girl a belated quinceañera party, and slow danced with the girl to his song “Pray,” granted a shopping spree to her mom, and donated $10,000 to help with the girls medical bills, reports the Daily Mail. Although Knock Knock Live has been canceled, Seacrest will return to host American Idol in 2016.
