Katy Perry definitely seems to have a knack for choosing problematic men. However, her description of these suitors might be as peculiar as her choices.
By know you’ve probably read all about Perry’s thoughts and feelings about her failed relationship with John Mayer. The “Roar” singer recently sat down with Cosmopolitan to discuss the pain and heartache that’s generally associated with her love life. Bless the poor girl’s heart, she just can’t seem to find the right guy.
While interviewer Chelsea Handler was picking Katy Perry’s brain about the seemingly endless string of bad romances , the singer offered up a very curious assessment. Instead of saying that she’s really into jerks, twerps, punks, and losers, she offered up what this writer feels is a very diplomatic description of her previous boyfriends.
“I guess I happen to be attracted to high-frequency men,” Katy explained.
So what’s this statement all about? There are a few theories floating around out there, none of which seem to truly explain what the singer meant. Crushable tossed about a hypothesis, though they also seemed a little perplexed by Perry’s curious declaration .
The site explained:
“Let’s put it this way: ‘high frequency’ doesn’t mean many things. So, if someone could walk in on you describing your type and mistake your conversation for being about 1) dangerous radio waves, or 2) dangerous and risky stock-trading practices, then you need to rethink some things. Because neither of those sound like an ideal coupling to me.”
Radio.com took a more scientific approach to the comment :
“It would appear that what Perry is implying is that she likes men who operate on a high frequency and/or amplify the energy the world throws at them. In short, larger than life is her type. That Katy Perry might be referencing the work of Tesla, a well-known inventor with a bit of a reputation in new age fanatics, underdog lovers and conspiracy theory circles, is not out of the realm of possibility.”
Although Katy Perry’s tender heart is covered with battle scars, it’s clear that she isn’t giving up on love just yet. Instead of swearing off romance for the rest of her life, the singer seems determined to make it work .
“Sometimes you have to go through all this s**t to get your grips on life and figure out what the next boundaries in your love life are going to be. You have to go through the mud in order to find that peaceful place. In the long run, it was necessary for me to have more of a teammate,” she explained.
