'Big Bang Theory' Star Kaley Cuoco Welcomes First Child, Reveals Daughter's Name

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey have welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey. The couple announced the happy news on their respective Instagram pages on Saturday, sharing photos of their "little miracle" and expressing their gratitude to family, friends, and medical professionals who helped them during the delivery, as per People.

"💓 3-30-23 💓 Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓" Cuoco wrote in her post. "Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief 💗 @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did 💗"

Cuoco, 37, and Pelphrey, 40, began dating in May 2022 and confirmed they were expecting their first child in October of that year, as per Fox News. The Big Bang Theory actress was previously married to former professional tennis player, Ryan Sweeting, from 2013 to 2016 and then to equestrian, Karl Cook, from 2018 to 2021.

In a February interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cuoco admitted she was leaving most of the baby prep to Pelphrey and had not read any parenting books. "All the ways I'm not like a prepper. I'm just not that way. It's gonna be great, I trust the process. Tom has googled enough for the both of us. He could probably deliver this baby at this point," Cuoco said.

Pelphrey on his part also posted pictures on Instagram. He echoed her sentiments, gushing over his "soulmate and best friend" and quoting the Islamic poet Rumi in his post: “'You are the Soul of the Universe. And your name is Love.' -Rumi. You are incredible." He filled his caption with prayer hands and heart emojis to show his great joy and gratitude.
