Jenelle Evans has found herself in the middle of a vicious custody war with ex-boyfriend, Nathan Griffith. Their son, Kaiser, is just under 2-years-old. The couple had planned to get married and became engaged last year. While things looked promising for Evans and Griffith, they split up last fall. That is when the real issues began, especially since Kaiser has remained with his mother. Evans filed official paperwork earlier this month to get a custody arrangement started, but Griffith fought back just a few days ago. He filed his own set of papers, with plenty of accusations against Evans.
The court process is supposed to begin next week for Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith. Mediation is to be held on Monday, though it is unclear if that is what will happen now. According to Radar Online , Jenelle Evans is accusing Nathan Griffith of being unfit. In fact, she alleges that he is using illegal substances and steroids. While this isn’t shocking to Teen Mom 2 fans, many have expressed their feelings about her as well. Evans goes on to cite in the paperwork that Griffith has had numerous arrests, including a few that happened while the two were together and after they split. This is a slippery slope, and Evans is going to go toe-to-toe with Griffith with these accusations.
Right now, Jenelle Evans is looking for temporary custody while the case goes to court. She has also asked that Nathan Griffith pay her attorney fees and court costs because of the parties being unable to immediately agree. There is a lot at stake here, especially between these two. Both have imperfect pasts and with both parties not having custody of their older children, things may not be easy for either of them. Evans and Griffith could potentially work something out without the judge having to weigh in, which would be ideal. However, neither party is ready to give in to the other, and this will likely end up incredibly messy.
On top of the custody cases Jenelle Evans is fighting, she is also battling a mystery illness. For several weeks she has had symptoms that have stumped doctors. There are no real conclusions, even now. According to Us Weekly , Jenelle Evans appeared on The Doctors to try and get answers. It was thought that her birth control choice could be causing the issues, and she has since gotten off of it. Evans is reporting symptoms still occurring, and even saying this illness could hinder her working on Teen Mom 2 in the future. The reunion for Season 7 is being taped this weekend, and the new season will begin airing on Monday. For now, fans will continue to see Evans and Nathan Griffith on the show.
Throwing out accusations is a dangerous slope for Jenelle Evans. Both her and Griffith have made some pretty bad choices in their past, and all of that will be presented to the judge. Evans alone has several arrests in the last decade, and Griffith also has quite a few. Also, both have allegedly used drugs in the past. Evans has been arrested on drug charges, and she has admitted to having a problem. She claims she is sober now, though not everyone would agree. Griffith has accused her of being unfit and using illegal drugs as well. Because the two of them cannot get along, they are constantly slinging mud back and forth. The judge will likely have to make a ruling in the custody case, but Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith aren’t exactly the best of choices when it comes to who should care for Kaiser. It will be interesting to see how things play out, and whether or not Jenelle Evans has an advantage as Kaiser’s mother.
