Donald Trump is currently leading the Republican presidential nomination race by a comfortable margin due to his candor and attitude. The 69-year-old has garnered one more fan in the process.
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has fallen for the honest charm of Donald Trump, although he has conceded that Trump would be a terrible leader for the United States. Speaking in an interview with the Nerdist , Cranston revealed that Donald Trump’s honesty was “refreshing.”
“I actually like his candor. ‘You’re an idiot,’ ‘I’m a winner, you’re a loser.’ There’s something so refreshing about shaking up that world that is all about being handled.”
Cranston continued to praise Donald Trump.
“And here comes this loose cannon who has terrible ideas and would be a horrible president, but there’s something great about his I-don’t-give-a-s**t attitude that really kind of keeps others honest. I think it’s a surprise benefit to the country, actually. I hope he stays in for a long, long time and just collapses that whole tent of his.”
Donald Trump has been criticized for being a demagogue that has tapped into the Republican’s right fears towards illegal immigration and “career politicians” in Washington D.C. to drive his campaign for president.
Trump has recently been criticized by Senator Rand Paul in an attack ad conveying his Democratic ideology.
Trump, of course, released a statement where he mocked Rand Paul’s low numbers in the poll and his golf skills.
Trump said, “Recently, Rand Paul called me and asked me to play golf. I easily beat him on the golf course and will even more easily beat him now, in the world in the politics.”
“Rand Paul is doing so poorly in the polls he has to revert to old footage of me discussing positions I no longer hold. As a world-class businessman, who built one of the great companies with some of the most iconic real-estate assets in the world, it was my obligation to my family, my company, my employees and myself to maintain a strong relationship with all politicians whether Republican or Democrat. I did that, and I did that well.”
