Fans will be happy to learn that when Fuller House premieres on Netflix in 2016, Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky will still be happily married. John Stamos , who plays Uncle Jesse, recently revealed the news when he posted a photo on Instagram that indicated the two characters were very much still together.
The photo featured both Stamos and Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky) holding hands top of a script for the upcoming series. Both of them were wearing wedding rings. Stamos included a message with the post, which read — “Our Very First Show Again. Becky and Jesse together Forever #FullerHouse #Netflix.”
Although the two characters were husband and wife in the original show back in the ’90s, the reboot takes place some twenty years later, so it was always a possibility that their marriage didn’t last. However, it is definitely good to know that the two have managed to stay together and will both be included in the show when it returns.
In addition to the news that Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky are still married, Fuller House is also set to include a number of the original cast members. According to Hollywood Life , both Nicky, played by Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit, and Alex, played by Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit, will be a part of the series. Dylan revealed the announcement in a post, which included a script with his name written on it.
Further, other cast members that are set to reprise their roles include Bob Saget as Danny, Dave Coulier as Joey, and Scott Weinger as Steve. At this moment, both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have decided not to be a part of the new series.
While Saget is set to once again appear as Danny Tanner on the show, it has been a mystery who was going to portray his new wife. According to TV Guide , Eva LaRue, known for her role in CSI: Miami , will playing Danny’s wife, Teri.
LaRue broke the exciting news in a post to her Twitter account. “Playing Danny Tanner’s new wife Teri ? #fullerhouse #fullhouse,” the actress wrote.
Teri is described as an attractive, lively, and energetic character who is more than willing to show her love for Danny. Teri is a brand new character for the show, so it will be interesting to see how she interacts with the rest of the family.
The first season of Fuller House will be comprised of 13 episodes and is expected to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2016.
